Sewing, Knitting & Crochet Patterns
There’s no better feeling than the warmth and admiration when you give someone a handmade gift.
I also know that getting started with sewing, knitting and crochet can be intimidating and you aren’t sure where to start. Or if you’re doing it right. Or what to do when you get stuck.
My craft patterns are (obsessively) written for beginners, taking each step into consideration with a thorough explanation. This way you’re learning as you create that heart-felt handmade gift, for your friend or family member…or yourself!
A Little Note From Me
Hi, I’m Stefanie and the designer behind all patterns and projects at Sunday Patterns.
I was so lucky to have my mom teach me to sew, knit and crochet when I was a little kid. And a little later, she taught me how to read a sewing pattern. I remember thinking, how do you know how to do this? Reading a commercial pattern is something that needs to be taught, and isn’t easily picked up. They aren’t intuitive and they assume you know why and how to do things a certain way.
I started creating my patterns so that anyone, with any skill level, could pick them up and start creating. This means, no hidden steps. Only clear, concise step-by-step instructions. With pictures.
And what better way to learn to sew, knit or crochet than by making gifts for others! I hope you’re inspired by my projects and get the same thrill I do when you finish your handmade item. Happy crafting!
