Knit Headband Pattern Description

This free knit bow headband pattern is such a quick and easy knit using only basic stitches. The knit bow is made using knit and purls stitches to form a lovely seed stitch pattern. Then it’s attached to either an knit i-cord or crocheted chain stitch cords to form a headband.  Makes a great gift for kids, teenagers or adults who love looking cute.

  • Final bow measures 5.5in across but can easily be adjusted to a different size

  • Worsted weight yarn (less than 1 skein)
  • US #8 knitting needles
  • size G crochet hook

  • 18sts and 24 rows = 4″ in seed stitch (though not really important for this pattern)

  • Knit & Purl stitches

  • Crochet chain stitch (alternatively, you could knit an i-cord)
